I am a Prep Teacher and a mother. I have used these cards both with my child and at school with my students. I find them to be a wonderful resource for prompting talks about various emotions. Last year I had a child with ASD in my class and used these with him regularly to assist him in identifying his own different emotions and to help him read other peoples emotions… something that people with ASD struggle to do. The cards are easy to use and have great leading questions to help guide the discussions. I loved these cards so much that I showed them to our school counsellor and the leader of our Rainbows program at school (a grief and loss program run for children). They have since bought some packs and are finding them extremely useful. I highly recommend these cards to anyone who has their own children – both young and old, or anyone who works with children. Even more so in this day and age, where we are bombarded by busy schedules and hijacked by technology, I think it’s crucial that we stay connected to our emotions which are the driving force behind so many of our actions throughout life. That way we can better understand ourselves and each other. Once we recognise our emotions and their triggers we are better able to nurture them in a more positive way. These cards are a fabulous tool that do just that! Thank you for this valuable resource Annie!!!

Thank you Kate for your wonderful review. The cards are a great product for any child to have access to for the development of their Emotional Literacy. They are finding their own way into the different worlds of all children, being particularly successful with autistic children. I am delighted the E-motion Cards are contributing to the emotional growth of this next generation!

I would recommend these cards for use by teachers, parents and therapists working with children. I teach students with special needs and have found them to be excellent. The photos are realistic and the problem solving suggestions are very practical. I have found the E-motion cards helpful in working with students with ASD, in identifying an emotion and triggering some discussion. I have had no hesitation in recommending the cards to other teachers, parents and Guidance Officers.
